Cardiac Rehabilitation at home exercise video (British Heart Foundation).

For people who have completed a Phase III Cardiac Rehabilitation program, who attend Phase IV or who have been told that they are suitable for Cardiac Rehabilitation exercise, see below.


-Cardiovascular Exercise 3 x week. 20-60 minutes. 60-80% HRMax (RPE 11-14). Aerobic.

(Aerobic Guidance for Long Term (Phase IV) Clients.


-Muscular Exercises 2 x week. 1 set of 10-15 repetitions (to moderate fatigue). 8-10 exercises

-Flexibility. Static stretching, holding 15-30 seconds each, 2-4 repetitions. 2-7 days a week

If you know that you are not suitable to do these exercises for any reason or if you have not yet attended Phase III please refrain from them for now until a GP or clinician recommends or passes you fit.
